The Dow industrial average has reached the 50,000 milestone.
It first traded and closed above the 50,000 level on February 6
The index closed 4 consecutive days above the 50K leve between February 6 and February 11 , but then fell -10% to a low close on March 27 at 45,166.64. That 10% decline took 32 days to complete. The last 27 trading days has seen the price nearly retrace the move lower (the high close was at 50,188.14).
The price is already rotated lower and currently trades at 49,971 up 673 points or 1.37%. Meanwhile the NASDAQ is up 1.88% and the S&P is up 1.4%. Both those on pace for record closes once again.
