US stocks ended a holiday-shortened week with divergent moves. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 595.05 points, or 1.14%, to 52,905.28, while the NASDAQ fell 207.36 points, or 0.80%, to 25,832.67. The S&P 500 closed nearly unchanged at 7,483.25.

Gainers dominated the Dow, with 26 of 30 stocks rising. Apple (AAPL) surged 4.84%, and McDonald’s (MCD) gained 4.07%. In contrast, tech stocks weighed on broader indices, with SanDisk (SNDK) plunging 14.23% and Ambarella (AMBA) dropping 11.30%.

The mixed performance reflected sector rotation, with industrials and consumer stocks outperforming while technology and semiconductor shares lagged.
