U.S. equities rise with the Dow setting another record, while the dollar strengthens against the yen and Swiss franc in mixed trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a record high, leading U.S. equities higher as the Nasdaq outperformed on gains in large-cap tech and semiconductor stocks. The S&P 500 also posted solid gains, reflecting broad market strength to start the week.

The U.S. dollar finished mixed against major currencies, rising 0.45% against the JPY and 0.25% versus the CHF. It also gained modestly against the NZD and CAD but declined against the EUR, GBP, and AUD. Crude oil settled lower, down $0.14 at $68.55.

U.S. ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI matched estimates at 54.0 for June, while Canada’s services PMI fell to 47.1 from 50.6 in May. Fed and ECB officials reiterated commitments to inflation targets and policy tools.
