Walt Disney Co reports $2.06 adjusted EPS and $25.2B revenue, beating forecasts as streaming operating income doubles to $712M.
Walt Disney Co posted fiscal third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.06, a 28% year-over-year increase and above the $1.86 estimate. Revenue grew 7% to $25.2 billion, slightly below the $25.4 billion forecast, while operating income rose 21% to $5.6 billion, surpassing expectations of $5.2 billion.
Streaming operating income more than doubled to $712 million, driven by subscription price hikes and reduced churn. The Entertainment segment’s operating income jumped 64% to $1.7 billion, with SVOD revenue climbing 11% to $5.5 billion. The Experiences division, including theme parks, saw operating income rise 20% to $3 billion on record revenue of nearly $10 billion.
Shares gained 2% in morning trading following the results. Domestic parks operating income increased 27%, supported by higher attendance and spending, while international parks saw a 13% decline due to weaker travel demand.
