The acquisition aims to merge assets exceeding $150 billion at the intersection of power, AI, and digital infrastructure.
DigitalBridge Group will acquire ArcLight Capital Partners for up to $1.05 billion, including a $650 million base price and a $400 million contingent component. The deal targets expansion in power and electric infrastructure, aligning with AI-driven demand.
ArcLight, founded in 2001, manages over 70 gigawatts of generation capacity and 48,000 miles of transmission infrastructure, with assets valued above $90 billion. The combined entity will oversee more than $150 billion in assets, supported by ArcLight’s 85-person development team and a 15-gigawatt pipeline.
The transaction depends on SoftBank’s pending acquisition of DigitalBridge and requires regulatory and limited partner approvals. ArcLight will operate as a standalone unit post-close.
