Global packaging supplier Detpak has opened a new manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, bolstering its North American operations. The plant will support major quick-service restaurant (QSR) customers, including McDonald’s, KFC, and Starbucks, with locally produced paper-based packaging solutions.

Detpak operates in 45 countries and owns manufacturing sites in eight, but this marks its first U.S.-based production facility. The company has supplied U.S. clients from international plants for over two decades, citing improved lead times and operational flexibility as key benefits of the expansion.

CEO Sascha Detmold Cox stated the move reinforces Detpak’s long-term commitment to the U.S. market, aligning with its global growth strategy. The facility is expected to strengthen supply chain resilience for domestic customers.
