Private software firm Databricks reached a $190 billion valuation following a new funding round, marking a 558.8% increase from its $43.4 billion valuation in September 2023. The surge benefits early backers, including NVIDIA Corporation, former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood.

Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, disclosed an investment in Databricks via Forge Investments on March 4, 2024, valued between $1 million and $5 million. Based on the new valuation, the stake is now worth $5.59 million to $27.94 million. Ark Invest’s holding, acquired in the 2023 round, has also appreciated by the same percentage.

The company, a competitor to Snowflake, has seen rapid growth in private markets, reflecting strong demand for enterprise AI and data analytics solutions. No immediate market reaction was reported for publicly traded peers.
