June pricing data revealed a sharp decline in trimmed mean inflation measures, which exclude volatile price outliers. The Dallas Fed’s one-month annualized rate fell to 1.4%, a 1.3 percentage point drop from May and the lowest since November 2020.

The 12-month trimmed mean rate also eased to 2.2%, down 0.2 percentage point from the prior month, marking its lowest level since July 2021. While Fed officials caution against overreacting to single-month data, the trend aligns with broader disinflationary signals.

Analysts suggest the data may influence market expectations, with potential implications for future rate cuts if inflation continues to moderate and labor market conditions soften.
