The commercial rollout of MYQORZO in Germany marks the first European launch for Cytokinetics’ cardiac myosin inhibitor following regulatory clearance.
Cytokinetics (NASDAQ:CYTK) has launched MYQORZO (aficamten) in Germany for the treatment of symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (oHCM). The move follows European Commission approval in February and builds on prior U.S. and Chinese regulatory clearances.
The approval was supported by Phase 3 SEQUOIA-HCM trial data, which demonstrated statistically significant improvements in exercise capacity, symptoms, and quality-of-life measures versus placebo. The German launch is the first step in a broader European commercialization strategy for the therapy.
Cytokinetics emphasized the drug’s strong clinical outcomes and regulatory validation as key drivers for its global expansion. The company focuses on developing muscle activators and inhibitors for debilitating diseases, with aficamten as a leading candidate.
