Customers Bancorp posted Q2 2026 earnings per share of $2.05, a 4% sequential and 18% year-over-year increase, supported by stronger loan growth, deposit gathering, and net interest income. The bank reaffirmed its full-year guidance and expects net interest income to improve in the second half of 2026.
Total loans reached a record $18 billion, up $624 million or 4% from the prior quarter and 17% year-over-year. Deposits also hit a record $21.7 billion, with non-interest-bearing deposits rising to $6.9 billion, or 32% of total deposits.
The company highlighted progress in its cubiX payments platform, with cumulative transaction activity exceeding $5 trillion, and AI-driven efficiency efforts saving over 46,000 hours. Management targets a low-40% efficiency ratio by 2027, down from roughly 50% currently.
