An attacker drained $8.07 million from Coinsbuy wallets across the Tron and Ethereum blockchains on August 9. The theft included 6 million USDT on Tron and 1.89 million USDT plus 77 ETH on Ethereum, linked to the same perpetrator via Bridgers.

Blockchain investigator BlockWatchdog reported that $6.34 million, or 79% of the stolen funds, passed through FixedFloat, while another 150 ETH was sent via ChangeNOW. Approximately $542,000 in 282.2 ETH remained untouched in five addresses.

Coinsbuy later replenished the affected wallets, returning $3.93 million to the original addresses within 0.05% of the stolen amounts. The exchange’s response suggests private keys may not have been compromised.
