Fairshake-affiliated PACs spend $1.5 million on ads supporting pro-crypto candidates in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming races.
Crypto-backed political action committees Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress have spent over $1.5 million on media campaigns for four House and Senate races. The spending targets candidates in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming ahead of August 18 primaries, following a primary loss in Michigan earlier this week.
The PACs, affiliated with Fairshake, disclosed the expenditures in Federal Election Commission filings. The ads support candidates who previously voted for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, including Republican Representative Nick Begich in Alaska and Harriet Hageman in Wyoming. Combined spending exceeds $500,000 in each of these races.
The move follows a setback in Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, where a Protect Progress-backed candidate lost in Tuesday’s primary. The PACs aim to bolster pro-crypto lawmakers in upcoming elections.
