Republican Barry Moore won Alabama’s GOP Senate primary runoff after crypto super PAC Fairshake spent over $12 million backing his campaign. The spending marked the largest investment by the crypto industry in any congressional race this year, signaling its growing political influence.

Moore, a Trump loyalist and incumbent U.S. Representative, fell short of 50% in the initial May primary, triggering Tuesday’s runoff. He defeated former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson, positioning himself as the favorite for November’s general election in the deeply Republican state. Moore has consistently supported crypto-friendly legislation in Congress.

Fairshake and its affiliates have emerged as the leading campaign-finance arms for the crypto sector, targeting races where pro-industry candidates can advance regulatory priorities. The PAC’s spending in Alabama surpassed all other midterm races, reflecting a strategic push to shape policy ahead of key votes.
