CRWD stock climbed to $196 after splitting, reflecting investor demand for its more accessible share price.
CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) completed a 4-for-1 stock split on July 2, lowering its share price to $193 from $773 the prior day. Shareholders received four shares for each held, and the stock rose 2% to $196 during trading.
The split, announced June 3, drove an 8% gain in CRWD shares as investors sought exposure ahead of the lower price. Year-to-date, the stock has surged 66% on strong earnings, including 26% revenue growth to $1.39 billion in the latest quarter and net income of $28 million, reversing a $104 million loss a year ago.
Management raised fiscal 2027 guidance, citing 32% growth in net new annual recurring revenue and record free cash flow. The split aims to broaden accessibility but leaves valuation concerns unaddressed.
