Credicorp reported record net income for Q1 2026, driven by a 21.1% return on equity and double-digit growth in net interest income, fee income, and FX gains. Loan balances rose 8.2% year over year, while asset quality improved and the cost of risk declined.
Management reaffirmed its 2026 outlook, targeting Peru GDP growth near 3.5%, loan growth around 8.5%, and net interest margins of 6.4%-6.7%. The company expects ROE to reach the upper end of its 19.5% guidance if current trends persist.
Digital platform Yape reached 16.4 million monthly active users, with revenue per user up 65% year over year. Lending was the fastest-growing segment, boosting Credicorp’s fee income and risk-adjusted revenue.
