The deal grants Cranswick manufacturing partnership and growth support for The Jolly Hog without full ownership.
UK meat processor Cranswick has acquired a minority stake in The Jolly Hog, a higher-welfare pork producer, becoming its long-term manufacturing partner. The Companies House filing shows Cranswick holds between 25% and 50% of the business, though financial terms remain undisclosed.
Cranswick, a major UK pork supplier to retail and foodservice sectors, will provide The Jolly Hog with increased production capacity, supply security, and technical expertise. The Jolly Hog, founded in 2007, sells sausage and bacon products to UK retailers and will continue operating independently under its existing leadership.
The partnership aims to accelerate The Jolly Hog’s growth while maintaining its product quality and brand values. Cranswick’s commercial chief called the brand purpose-driven with a loyal customer base.
