Cove Kaz Capital Group has selected international engineering firms to conduct a definitive feasibility study (DFS) for its Northern Katpar tungsten project in Kazakhstan. The study, launched in July 2026, is set to conclude by the end of 2027 and will inform a final investment decision and financing due diligence with potential partners, including U.S. development and export banks.

The project, where Cove Kaz holds a 70% stake, will undergo mine planning, mineral processing, and environmental assessments. DRA Global leads mineral processing, ERM handles geology and regulatory frameworks, and Knight Piésold oversees geotechnical and tailings engineering. The DFS will support subsequent engineering and construction phases.

Appointments are pending final agreements, with the study expected to pave the way for commercial operations. Financing partners include the US International Development Finance Corporation and the Export-Import Bank of the US.
