During the second-quarter earnings call, Vachris emphasized Costco’s ability to absorb tariffs without major price hikes, unlike other retailers. Shareholders recently rejected a proposal to evaluate risks tied to diversity and inclusion practices, reinforcing the company’s focus on member value.
Vachris also warned that evolving tariff policies could disproportionately affect competitors, potentially reshaping retail pricing dynamics.
