Second-quarter production sales fell 1.2% year over year
Core Molding Technologies reported a 1.2% year-over-year decline in second-quarter production sales, primarily due to a 23% decline in truck-related sales.
The company’s diversified portfolio helped offset this decline, with strong growth in other markets, including building products and powersports.
Management expects truck sales to improve in the second half and reiterated its full-year sales outlook of flat to approximately 5% growth.
The company secured nearly $26 million in new business wins during the first half, keeping it on track for its $50 million annual target.
