Major financial institutions partner with Circle’s USD-pegged Arc blockchain for faster, stablecoin-based transactions and settlements.
Circle announced its new Arc blockchain, designed for stablecoin transactions, cross-border settlements, and tokenized assets. The platform, launching in September, has already attracted BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, and Standard Chartered as backers, signaling strong institutional interest.
Unlike Ethereum and Solana, Arc uses Circle’s USD Coin (USDC) for transfers, avoiding volatility tied to native tokens like ETH or SOL. Transactions on Arc settle in under half a second, addressing speed and stability concerns for large financial players.
The blockchain’s focus on dollar-pegged stability and institutional adoption could position Circle as a key infrastructure provider in digital asset markets. The partnerships underscore growing demand for regulated, efficient blockchain solutions.
