Ciena Corporation (NYSE:CIEN) appointed Grant Hoffman as Chief Supply Chain Officer and transitioned Brodie Gage to Chief Product and Technology Officer on June 22, 2026. Both will report to CEO Gary Smith and join the Executive Leadership Team to bolster operational scaling and product leadership amid growth initiatives.
The moves follow a recent $2.5 billion convertible senior notes offering, up from an initially planned $2.0 billion, with an option for an additional $375.0 million. Ciena also demonstrated a quantum-safe data transmission trial with Colt Technology Services, achieving an 800Gb Ethernet service rate over 6,900km.
