Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to report second-quarter earnings after markets close Wednesday, with Wall Street expecting $3.33 billion in revenue and 32 cents per share. The burrito chain’s same-store sales are projected to rise 1.4%, reversing earlier declines as analysts anticipate a rebound in consumer traffic.

Last quarter, Chipotle posted a 0.5% increase in same-store sales, defying expectations of continued declines. The company had previously seen reduced visits from value-conscious diners, but analysts now view the downturn as temporary. Full-year guidance remains flat for same-store sales, described as conservative by CFO Adam Rymer due to unpredictable consumer trends.

Shares have fallen over 7% this year, reducing Chipotle’s market value to approximately $44 billion. The earnings report will test investor confidence amid broader economic pressures.
