Police arrested 276 suspects in joint operation
A joint law enforcement operation by China, the US, and the UAE has dismantled 9 scam compounds in Dubai.
The operation targeted telecom and online fraud syndicates that operated ‘pig-butchering’ scams, luring victims into investing in fraudulent cryptocurrency projects.
Authorities said the groups built romantic relationships with victims through social media before deceiving them into investing in high-return cryptocurrency projects.
