The PBOC has set the USD/CNY reference rate for today at 6.8401.
This rate allows the yuan to fluctuate within a +/- 2% range.
Standard Chartered notes suspected Japanese FX intervention totalling around $65 billion has shifted the yen from undervalued to overvalued.
