China’s trade surplus widens to 859.05 billion CNY
China’s trade balance for June arrived at 859.05 billion CNY, widening from the previous figure of 723.98 billion CNY.
The country’s exports surged 20.8% year-over-year in June, while imports rose 29.4% year-over-year.
In USD terms, China’s trade surplus rose more than expected in June, arriving at 125.62 billion USD versus 121 billion USD expected.
The Australian Dollar faces slight selling pressure following the release, with AUD/USD trading flat at around 0.6922.
