Central Garden & Pet Company (CENT) has agreed to acquire a majority stake in TRIXIE Heimtierbedarf GmbH & Co. KG, a leading European pet supplies and snacks company. The deal marks CENT’s strategic expansion into the European pet market, targeting growth in the region’s premium pet product segment.
TRIXIE, based in Germany, operates across Europe with a focus on pet accessories, food, and snacks. The acquisition follows CENT’s recent efforts to diversify its geographic footprint beyond North America, where it is a major player in pet and garden supplies.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the coming months, pending regulatory approvals.
