The French tech services firm reports AI-driven demand is expanding client spending across business functions, not just IT.

Capgemini said artificial intelligence is broadening client budgets beyond traditional IT spending, creating new opportunities across business operations. CEO Aiman Ezzat highlighted that AI is now viewed as an operational transformation rather than a standard upgrade, addressing investor concerns about potential disruption to its business model.

The company’s sales pipeline has surged, with Chief Technology Officer Franck Greverie noting it now exceeds $12 billion. This growth reflects a shift in enterprise AI adoption, moving from individual use cases to large-scale workflow re-architecting, according to OpenAI’s Nate Harbacek.

Capgemini argued that AI is not reducing demand for external tech services but instead expanding the scope of work available. The trend underscores a more diversified and resilient business model, the company said.
