Canada Post parcel volumes fell 17.2% in Q1
Canada Post parcel volumes declined 17.2% in the first quarter, resulting in a $147.5 million pre-tax loss.
The decline in parcel volumes was partly due to a protracted labor dispute that included two strikes and other work slowdowns.
The Canadian government has approved changes to Canada Post’s operations, including ending door-to-door delivery for 4 million addresses.
