BSP to keep policy rate unchanged at 27 August meeting
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas is expected to maintain its policy rate at the upcoming meeting.
This decision is a shift from the previously projected hike of 25bps.
The GDP growth forecast for 2026 has been trimmed to 3.5%, with CPI expectations also lowered.
Rate cuts are still projected for 2027 once inflation falls below 4%.
