Broadcom shares have climbed 36% since April 6, reaching $428.61, outpacing the S&P 500’s 12.5% gain in the same period. The rally followed the company’s expanded partnerships with Google and Meta, alongside Intel’s strong earnings boosting semiconductor sector confidence.

On May 5, Broadcom unveiled VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1, targeting production AI workloads and strengthening its most profitable revenue segment. The stock is currently down 2.5%, amid a legal setback involving a $12.75 million fine by Korea’s Fair Trade Commission.

UBS analysts noted Broadcom as an extremely crowded long position, excluding Tesla, in the Magnificent Seven stocks, reflecting strong investor interest in the semiconductor sector.
