After the sale, Brandes’ remaining stake in Kennametal stood at 5,265,280 shares, worth $190.23 million at quarter-end. The fund’s position declined by $100.43 million over the quarter due to share sales and price movements. Kennametal’s stock has risen 50% over the past year, outperforming the S&P 500’s 28% gain.
Brandes’ Kennametal holding now represents 1.35% of its $14.13 billion 13F assets under management. The fund’s top holdings include CAE ($413.54 million) and EMBJ ($338.47 million).
