BOJ deputy governor Himino to chair meeting
BOJ Governor Ueda has been hospitalized and will be absent from next week’s monetary policy meeting.
The meeting will be chaired by BOJ deputy governor Himino, with the decision set to be announced on 16 June.
The BOJ is still expected to raise the policy rate by 25 bps to 1%.
BOJ deputy governor Uchida will handle the press conference duty.
