Wall Street bank Jefferies projects crypto and blockchain-related initial public offerings will expand into a $1 trillion public market within five years. The shift reflects institutional investors pivoting from speculative trading to blockchain-based financial infrastructure, including tokenized funds and payment networks.

The firm expects a wave of public listings over the next two years, driven by partnerships between traditional financial institutions and crypto-native providers. Key growth areas include stablecoins, tokenized money market funds, and 24/7 settlement systems, aiming to improve capital efficiency and reduce costs.

Institutional adoption is accelerating as blockchain integrates into core financial systems, with private credit and settlement networks emerging as near-term priorities. The projection follows Jefferies’ inaugural Digital Assets Investor Conference in New York.
