The iShares Bitcoin Trust records its second-biggest single-day outflow amid strong year-to-date inflows of $2 billion.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced a $528 million net outflow, the second-largest single-day withdrawal since its inception. The outflow follows a period of robust demand for the ETF, which has attracted $2 billion in net inflows year-to-date.
Despite the recent outflow, IBIT remains among the top 2% of all ETFs by net inflows, with cumulative historical inflows totaling $64 billion. The latest withdrawal represents less than 1% of total inflows, suggesting limited immediate impact on the fund’s overall performance.
The move reflects shifting investor sentiment in the cryptocurrency space, though the ETF’s long-term trajectory remains positive.
