A single investor offloaded $1.29 billion of BlackRock’s IBIT ETF amid a broader $333 million outflow from U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs.

An unknown investor executed a $1.29 billion block sale of BlackRock’s IBIT bitcoin ETF in a dark pool on Tuesday, marking the largest trade of its kind observed by analysts. The transaction occurred at 10:30 a.m. ET, according to market research firm Galaxy.

The sale contributed to a $334 million net outflow from U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs, extending a seven-day streak of withdrawals totaling $1.88 billion. The sector has faced persistent outflows, with the longest streak reaching eight days and $3.3 billion in February 2025.

Tuesday’s outflows reflect ongoing investor caution, with $2.26 billion withdrawn from these ETFs over the past two weeks. The trend underscores shifting sentiment in the crypto market amid broader macroeconomic uncertainty.
