BitMart to end trading by August 26
BitMart will wind down its exchange and cease trading by August 26. The move comes as the platform’s BMX token has resumed losses, falling below $0.10.
The exchange’s crypto assets have decreased from $102 million on July 6 to $71 million on Sunday. About $41.5 million of the remaining assets are in stablecoin banking platform WeFi’s WFI tokens, with $91,000 in USDT.
Some users have reported delays in withdrawals, with Tether USDt requests remaining pending for hours. The wind-down announcement noted that some withdrawal requests may be subject to additional compliance and security reviews, potentially extending processing times.
