The 16-year deal with Volta Tydal AS boosts Bitdeer’s contracted revenue by $4.7 billion for AI computing infrastructure in Norway.
Bitdeer shares climbed 23% after its subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS signed a 16-year colocation agreement with Volta Tydal AS. The deal will supply 121 MW of IT capacity for AI infrastructure at a Norway campus, generating $4.7 billion in contracted revenue over its initial term.
The contract includes an eight-year renewal option, potentially increasing the total value to $8 billion. Bitdeer, founded by Bitmain co-founder Jihan Wu, will provide power and services for the AI/HPC facility, which requires approximately 133 MW of total power.
Shares surged following the announcement, reflecting investor optimism about the long-term revenue stream and expansion into AI infrastructure.
