Bitcoin climbed above $80,000 for the first time since mid-May, reaching a high of $81,160.06. The 25.8% weekly gain marks its strongest rally in over two years, fueled by $1.92 billion in net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs last week.

The surge aligns with the US Treasury’s decision to double its long-end debt buyback operations to $4 billion per operation. Analysts cited the move as a key catalyst, noting Bitcoin’s historical sensitivity to liquidity expansion. President Donald Trump also urged Congress to advance crypto market structure legislation.

ETF demand, rather than leverage, has underpinned the rally, suggesting durability. Ether ETFs recorded their largest inflow since October, adding $608M in the same period.
