Spot bitcoin ETFs post first two-day outflow streak since late July, erasing last week’s gains amid muted market reaction to U.S. inflation.
Bitcoin fell after U.S. inflation data failed to sustain momentum, wiping out gains from the prior week. The largest cryptocurrency’s decline coincided with the first back-to-back outflows from spot bitcoin ETFs since late July, totaling $120 million over two days.
Prior to this drawdown, ETFs had seen 15 consecutive days of inflows, peaking at $2.4 billion in July. Altcoins mirrored bitcoin’s weakness, struggling for direction as macroeconomic cues offered little support.
Markets showed limited reaction to the pullback, with trading volumes remaining subdued and volatility muted.
