Bitcoin’s annualized perpetual futures funding rate rose to 7% on Monday, its highest level in nearly three weeks, reflecting growing investor optimism. The move coincided with BTC testing $65,500 as lower oil prices and geopolitical easing boosted risk appetite.

Despite the uptick, spot ETF outflows and broader market weakness in equities, bonds, and gold tempered expectations for an immediate breakout above $70,000. The Nasdaq 100 fell 1% amid declines in AI-related stocks, while Brent crude dropped to $77.50, a four-month low.

Traders increased leveraged long positions, but macroeconomic caution and mixed signals from traditional assets limited bullish momentum. The funding rate remains within a neutral range, suggesting balanced sentiment for now.
