Currency headwinds, US tariffs, and Middle East conflict cut into earnings despite higher sales across all regions.
Birkenstock’s net profit fell 22% to €82m in Q2 FY26, missing expectations as revenue rose 8% to €618m. Earnings per share dropped to €0.45 from €0.56, while adjusted net profit declined 10% to €93m.
The decline reflected currency translation impacts, incremental US tariffs, and a non-cash revaluation of senior notes. Revenue growth was strongest in Asia-Pacific at 22%, while EMEA faced a 300 basis point headwind from Middle East conflict.
Operating profit fell to €155.4m from €175.3m, with B2B revenue up 9% and direct-to-consumer channels also contributing to growth.
