Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, signaled a potential return of the crypto exchange to the U.S. market during a conference appearance. He cited limited access to global liquidity as a key reason, noting that American traders often face higher prices due to regulatory constraints.

The comments follow CZ’s 2024 resignation as CEO and guilty plea to criminal charges, which led to Binance’s restricted U.S. operations. Despite this, the exchange remains the largest outside the U.S. and is exploring derivatives and prediction markets under current CEO Stephen Gregory.

CZ praised recent U.S. crypto policies, including the CLARITY Act, but emphasized the need for deeper liquidity. Binance’s potential return could reshape competition in the U.S. crypto trading landscape.
