Jeff Bezos intends to sell approximately 15 million Amazon shares, worth $4.07 billion based on Monday’s closing price of $284.02. The sale was executed under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on November 14, 2025, and processed through Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC.
Amazon’s stock reached a record high on Monday after reporting second-quarter revenue of $200.61 billion and earnings of $5.75 per share. The company’s market value surpassed $3 trillion, driven by strong cloud division performance and investor confidence in its AI strategy. Shares have surged 25% year-to-date, outpacing the S&P 500’s 11% gain.
Amazon shares fell over 2% in early Tuesday trading following the disclosure. The company forecast third-quarter revenue between $197 billion and $202 billion.
