Bending Spoons has agreed to acquire Airtable for $1.28 billion in cash, marking its first deal since going public last month. The transaction values Airtable at approximately $2.25 billion, based on its net cash balance, a sharp decline from its 2021 peak valuation of $11 billion and its recent secondary market valuation of $4 billion.

Airtable, founded in 2013, has raised over $1.4 billion in funding and reported annual recurring revenue of $480 million as of June 2026, growing over 20% year-over-year. The company serves more than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, and recently launched an AI-driven orchestration platform called Superagent.

Bending Spoons, which went public at an $18 billion valuation in July, specializes in acquiring firms at discounted valuations, streamlining operations, and driving profitability. The deal is expected to accelerate innovation for Airtable’s workflow management tools.
