Barclays reduced Dollar General’s (DG) price target to $148 from $151 on June 4, 2026, while retaining an Overweight rating. The firm cited a solid quarter and rising estimates but acknowledged the market’s muted reaction to results.

Dollar General reported Q1 EPS of $2.00, beating consensus of $1.89, and revenue of $10.8B, slightly below $10.81B expectations. Comparable sales grew 2.0%, shy of the 2.1% sell-side forecast, while gross margin improved 65bps year-over-year.

Bernstein also adjusted its price target to $149 from $146 on June 3, 2026, highlighting margin strength driven by inventory markups and lower shrinkage, offset partly by markdowns and fuel costs.
