Economists forecast steady monetary policy at 6.50%
Citi Mexico’s Expectations Survey polled 35 economists on their forecasts for monetary policy and the USD/MXN exchange rate.
The survey revealed that the majority expect monetary policy to remain steady at 6.50%.
The USD/MXN exchange rate is expected to end at 17.90 in 2026, unchanged, with expectations of a depreciation of the Mexican Peso in 2027 to 18.50.
