AXA SA reports 8% year-over-year growth in 1H underlying EPS, raising its 2026 growth target to the upper end of 6%-8%.
AXA SA posted a 8% year-over-year increase in first-half underlying earnings per share to €2.19, driven by growth in life and health premiums. Gross written premiums and other revenues rose 5% to €66.3 billion, with property and casualty premiums up 3% and life and health premiums climbing 8%. Underlying earnings reached €4.5 billion, a 4% increase, or 9% excluding AXA IM.
The insurer’s results exceeded prior-year performance, with underlying EPS growth accelerating from 5% in 1H 2023. Revenue growth was supported by strong demand in life and health segments, offsetting slower expansion in property and casualty lines. The company also highlighted resilience in underlying earnings despite market volatility.
AXA now expects 2026 underlying EPS growth to reach the upper end of its 6%-8% target range, reflecting confidence in sustained momentum. The outlook revision follows consistent execution across core business lines and disciplined capital management.
