Australia’s July employment report is set for release at 01:30 GMT Thursday. Economists forecast a 15,000 increase in jobs, keeping the unemployment rate steady at 4.4%. The participation rate is expected to dip slightly to 66.9% from 67% in June.

In June, the economy added 47,000 part-time roles and 29.3K full-time positions. Full-time jobs are preferred for stability, while part-time work offers higher hourly rates but less consistency. The Reserve Bank of Australia has prioritized inflation over labor market trends in recent policy decisions.

Markets may see limited AUD reaction as focus remains on Middle East developments. The RBA held its cash rate at 4.35% in August, signaling a cautious approach amid inflation concerns.
