Asmodee posted stronger-than-expected first-quarter earnings, with net sales rising 20.9% year-over-year to €422.1 million, surpassing estimates of €404 million. Organic growth accounted for over 20% of the increase, signaling broad-based demand beyond acquisitions.
Trading card games led the gains, climbing 23.1% to €285 million, fueled by Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and other franchises. Board games grew 16% to €103 million, supported by titles like CATAN and Dobble. Adjusted EBITDA surged 55% to €61.9 million, while the margin expanded to 14.7% from 11.4%.
Shares jumped as much as 10% to a record high following the results. Profit attributable to shareholders swung to €17 million from a €1.6 million loss in the prior-year period.
