ASML shares rose over 3% in premarket trading after the company reported stronger-than-expected Q2 results and raised its 2026 net sales outlook to between $49.2 billion and $51.5 billion. The revised forecast surpasses the $45 billion average analyst estimate and the high end of prior guidance, driven by robust demand for its EUV lithography machines used in AI chip production.

Orders for ASML’s advanced equipment now extend into 2028, reflecting long-term commitments from chipmakers. CEO Christophe Fouquet cited unprecedented visibility in end-market demand, with customers accelerating capital expenditure plans amid the AI-driven semiconductor boom.

The results underscore sustained investment in AI infrastructure, as chipmakers ramp up spending on high-end lithography tools. ASML’s order backlog and raised outlook signal confidence in continued growth for the sector.
